Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: November 1 2026
Welcome to Chef Kaylee. These terms explain how our website, inquiry process, weekly menu, and related services work, and what we ask of you in return. We have kept them in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us at chefkaylee@chefkaylee.com.
By using our website or submitting an inquiry, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
the short version
-
Our website is informational. An inquiry is a conversation, not a confirmed booking.
-
Pricing, scheduling, payment, and cancellation terms for private chef, catering, and housekeeping services are confirmed directly with each client before services begin.
-
Weekly meal prep orders are governed by the ordering terms in Section 4.
-
Our nutrition content is general information, not medical advice.
-
You are responsible for telling us about allergies and dietary restrictions before we prepare your meals so we can confirm whether we can safely accommodate them.
-
Our name, photography, and content belong to us or our licensors. Please ask before using them beyond the permissions described below.
1 · who we are
Chef Kaylee LLC (“Chef Kaylee,” “we,” “us”) is a private chef, meal prep, catering, and lifestyle service based in Cleveland, Ohio.
“You” means anyone who visits our website, submits a form, subscribes to our newsletter, or orders from us.
2 · using our website
You may use our website for lawful, personal, or business-inquiry purposes. Please do not:
-
Submit false or misleading information, or inquire on behalf of someone without their knowledge
-
Attempt to access, disrupt, or probe the security of our site or systems
-
Copy, scrape, or republish our content at scale
-
Use our site to send spam or unsolicited promotions to our team
We may restrict access to anyone who violates these terms.
3 · inquiries and service agreements
Submitting an inquiry does not create a client relationship, reserve a date, or obligate either side. After your inquiry, we will talk with you about your household, your schedule, and what you need.
Before services begin, we confirm the scope, pricing, schedule, payment terms, and cancellation terms directly with you. A separate signed agreement may be used for certain engagements. If the specific service terms we agree to with you conflict with these general terms, the specific service terms control.
We may decline an inquiry and may not be able to serve every location or date. We serve households in Cleveland, Northeast Ohio, and Cincinnati, and travel for select engagements.
4 · weekly meal prep orders
Our weekly menu changes every Friday, and the menu on our site is the one currently available.
Ordering. Orders must be placed by Sunday at noon for delivery during the upcoming week, beginning Monday. Orders placed after the cutoff may still be accepted, but delivery will be later than Monday.
Pricing. Prices are shown on the menu and may change between weeks.
Payment. Payment is due once delivery is complete. We keep a card on file through our payment processor, Square. Your card details are not visible to Chef Kaylee.
Delivery. We deliver to your home Monday through Friday, on the day you choose. Delivery times vary, but typically fall between 3 and 5 p.m. You do not need to be home to receive your order. We follow your agreed delivery instructions, whether that means using a key or entry code to place meals in your refrigerator or leaving your order at the door. We text you once delivery is complete. If meals are left at the door, please arrange to refrigerate them promptly.
Changes and cancellations. You may change or cancel your meal prep order until 11:59 p.m. Sunday. For in-home services, cancellations require at least 48 hours’ notice before your scheduled service.
Our quality promise. If something is not right with your order, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery and include a photo of the issue. We will review your concern and make it right with a replacement, credit, or refund, as appropriate.
Menu changes. Sourcing is seasonal and hyper-local. We may substitute an ingredient or dish of equal or higher standard when needed, while respecting the dietary requirements we have agreed to accommodate.
5 · catering and events
Catering bookings are confirmed with either a signed agreement or a 50% deposit. Guest counts, dietary requirements, and the venue must be finalized at least 7 days before the event. Cancellation and rescheduling terms are confirmed directly with each client before booking.
6 · allergies and dietary needs
We prepare meals with careful attention to your allergies, intolerances, and dietary restrictions. Please provide complete information about the dietary needs of everyone we will be serving before we plan and prepare your meals.
We do not operate in a shared commercial kitchen. We review your requirements and confirm whether we can safely accommodate them before accepting your order or service. If you have a severe allergy, please discuss it directly with Chef Kaylee so we can agree on the necessary ingredients, preparation, and handling precautions.
7 · nutrition information is not medical advice
Our menus, newsletter, social media, and the “What’s the deal with…?” series share general information about food and nutrition. They are for education only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and they do not create a healthcare provider relationship.
Please talk with your physician, dietitian, or healthcare team before changing your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are training under a prescribed plan. Never disregard professional advice because of something you read from us.
Nutrition details we provide, such as macros, are estimates and may vary with sourcing and preparation.
8 · confidentiality and discretion
We do not publicly identify clients or share identifying photographs of clients or their homes without prior written permission. Staff and contractors are bound by confidentiality obligations.
We ask that you obtain permission before photographing or publishing images of our team or sharing confidential business materials, including menus in development and nonpublic pricing. This does not prevent you from sharing honest reviews or information you are legally entitled to disclose.
Details of how we protect your personal information are in our Privacy Policy.
9 · intellectual property
The Chef Kaylee name, logo, photography, video, original written content, and other protected materials belong to Chef Kaylee LLC or its licensors.
You may view and share our publicly available content for personal, non-commercial purposes if you credit us and do not alter it. Any other use, including use of our name, logo, or images in advertising, requires our written permission.
If you send us feedback or suggestions, you agree that we may use them without compensation or other obligation to you. This does not authorize us to disclose your confidential or personal information.
10 · referrals and partners
We work with trusted partners such as chiropractors, dietitians, and performance professionals. Mentioning a partner on our site is not a guarantee of their services, and we are not responsible for advice or care they provide. Any referral program or partner arrangement is governed by its own terms.
11 · newsletter and communications
By subscribing, you agree to receive our email newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our marketing emails.
If you give us your phone number, we may contact you about your inquiry, service, or order, including delivery notifications. We will not send marketing texts without your separate consent.
12 · third-party links and services
Our site links to and uses outside services, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Typeform, payment processors, and partner sites. We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for their content or practices.
13 · disclaimers
Our website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do our best to keep information accurate and current, but we do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every price, menu, or availability detail is current.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties concerning the website that are not expressly stated in these terms. This does not override the service commitments we make to you or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14 · limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Chef Kaylee LLC and its owners, team, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website.
For website use and meal prep orders, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the order giving rise to the claim, or $100 if no order was placed.
Liability for services covered by a separate signed agreement is governed by that agreement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.
15 · indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Chef Kaylee LLC against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable expenses caused by your unlawful misuse of our website, violation of these terms, or knowing provision of false or incomplete allergy or dietary information. This obligation does not extend to losses caused by our own negligence or misconduct.
16 · governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We hope to resolve any concern directly, so please write to us first at chefkaylee@chefkaylee.com.
If we cannot resolve the concern, any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, and you consent to that venue, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
17 · changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our services grow. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of our site after a change means you accept the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law. Orders and agreements already in place remain subject to the terms under which they were made.
18 · if part of these terms does not apply
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our decision not to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any service terms confirmed with you, form the entire agreement between us regarding the matters they cover.
